PLEASE NOTE THIS APPLIES ONLY TO CUSTOMERS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION– if you’re anywhere alse, you’re good <3
From July 1st, the EU will introduce new import tax regulations. Unfortunately despite how close this deadline is, there isnt in the UK much support or information on how small businesses can navigate these changes without complicated and very expensive faffing around.
This will mean two things:
- the threshold on imports to EU countries will disappear, so every purchase regardless of value will be charged import tax
- If tax isnt paid at the point of sale (i.e, as you buy from me), imports will be subject to an extra processing fee.
WHAT WILL WE DO ABOUT THIS?
I will not stop selling to the EU.
For now, to avoid customers having to pay extra customs processing charges i advise EU customers to purchase from my etsy store- which i was trying to keep closed, but will now reopen and i’ll also add all of the new items i’ve been making there. Future dice releases will be available on etsy as well. This is because Etsy is a marketplace, and they have the means to navigate the bureaucracy that, at this time, i cannot.
Otherwise, please understand you may be subject to pay import VAT+ processing charges upon receiving your items regardless of their value.
I hope this will change in the future and i’m keeping informed on how this might be possible.
Thank you all for the support, i love you, and i’ll make sure to keep you informed =)
Love,
